SELENA GOMEZ TO VISIT DRC

Selena Gomez

Not only does the actress and pop star say she wants to help the less fortunate, she's actually doing something about it.

Gomez tells E! News exclusively that her next humanitarian trip will be to Africa to visit the war-torn Democratic Republic of the Congo.

"We first went to Ghana and then we went to Chile," Gomez said at her UNICEF benefit show on Friday at the House of Blues in West Hollywood. "In April, we're going to go somewhere a little harder, the Congo...The first trips were to ease me into it."

It was a fellow celeb who inspired the idea "I was talking to Joel Madden and he works with Unicef and he went to the Congo," Gomez said. "He said it was the most intense thing he had ever done in his entire life—and the best thing he had ever done."

A trip to the Congo won't be Gomez's first time helping the African nation. In 2009, she attended the Raise Hope for the Congo event in L.A. to help raise awareness about sexual violence against women and girls in the country.

Gomez has been a UNICEF ambassador for about two years. The House of Blues event raised more than $200,000 for the children's organization. "We're helping to save the lives of children all over the world," Gomez wrote on her Facebook page.

SEAL AND HEIDI,IT'S OVER!

Seal & Heidi Klum

Seal and Heidi Klum have announced that their storybook marriage is coming to the end of the runway.
In a statement Sunday night, the power couple announced their separation after rumors swirled over the weekend that a divorce was imminent.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate," the joint statement read. "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."

The couple married in 2005 and has four children together, including the supermodel's daughter from a previous relationship.

They were one of Hollywood's most high-profile couples, and seemed to have the relationship everyone should envy. They two starred together in the music video "Secret," they renewed their wedding vows each anniversary, boasted of their love in the media, and threw Halloween bashes together where they dressed in outrageous outfits, most recently last year in New York City, where the two engaged in their typical public display of affection for the cameras.

RIHANNA VS KARRUECHE TAN

Rihanna & Chris Brown

After Chris Brown and Rihanna were  spotted leaving the same West Hollywood club Sunday night, the rumor mill immediately began churning out stories that the pair may be more friends than foe. But according to Brown, that's just not the case.

Brown's rep told TMZ that Chris and Rihanna may have been at the same club, but the "With You" singer has moved on from his former flame with aspiring model Karrueche Tran, who was also at the club.

As the pair's tangled web expands to include new significant others, so does the drama. According to Media Takeout, Chris' new girlfriend and Rihanna confronted one another at the nightclub and things got heated before the "Man Down" singer's bodyguards separated the pair.

Karrueche is reportedly upset that Rihanna's male counterpart in her "We Found Love" music video bears a striking resemblance to Chris Brown and Rihanna was less than enthusiastic when a video of Karrueche making fun of her Barbados accent surfaced.

AMBER ROSE EXPOSED!!

Amber Rose & Kanye during the good old days

In recent weeks, the former stripper-turned-socialite has been making her rounds, promoting a new Wiz Khalifa-assisted single and an upcoming movie role ... but has also come out making claims that Kim Kardashian was the contributing factor to her break-up with Kanye West.

Rose's former publicist has come forward making his own set of claims, though, which contradict her story.

Her former publicist, Janero Marchand, recently spoke to TheYBF.com, saying that Kim didn't break her and Kanye up, but instead, Amber did ... with her infidelity and thieving ways.

He claims to have been the person that initially introduced Rose to Kanye, who went on to hire her to star in a music video to his song, "Robocop." However, she tried to steal his commission and lie about it.

And ... that's just the tip of the iceberg of what he had to say.

"I was the person who introduced Kanye West and Amber Rose. Amber wanted me to lie to Kanye when he asked me about her stealing. My integrity and morals I was raised on would not allow me to do something like that," Marchand said. "I just want the public to know that I am a man that conducts my business with integrity and morals. And, I support my clients 100% until they do something that is unethical or unlawful business wise. I never had intentions to speak on this subject, but seeing Amber being dishonest to the media about the reason she and Kanye broke up was the last straw.

UNTREATABLE STRAIN OF TB IN INDIA!! (100% AUTHENTIC)

Mycobacterium Tuberculosis
(TB Bacteria)

MUMBAI - Nine patients in India are suffering from a strain of tuberculosis which has proved to be multi-drug resistant, and possibly totally drug-resistant. Isolated incidences previously occurred in Italy and Iran, and doctors had expected another outbreak.

A multi-drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis (TB) that first surfaced in India in December may prove to be totally drug-resistant, and thus untreatable. Ten patients have so far been diagnosed in India with this new strain of TB. A research paper entitled "Incidence of Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis in Urban and Rural India and Implications for Prevention" documents the first cases found in December and can be read in detail in the Oxford Journals Clinical Infectious Diseases.
The research paper places the blame for the development of this new strain of TB on doctors over-prescribing inappropriate drugs which resulted in drug resistance. The report says "These three patients had received erratic, unsupervised second-line drugs, added individually and often in incorrect doses, from multiple private practitioners."
Officials and doctors from the World Health Organization are meeting in Mumbai on Tuesday to discuss the situation. Bloomberg reports that a forced quarantine may be imposed to prevent the infection spreading. Mario Raviglione, director of the WHO’s Stop TB program said that due to the ease of purchasing antibiotics it had long been expected that a totally drug-resistant strain of TB would emerge. He voiced the opinion that "These patients may well be the tip of the iceberg."
TB is extremely prevalent in India, accounting for 26 percent of all TB cases worldwide. The new strain has been detected amongst India's poorest slum dwellers, leading Dr. Zarir Udwadia to conclude "they are the untouchables, so no one is making a fuss" USA Today reported. He said there was little hope that the nine infected patients will survive. Experts believe there may be many more undocumented cases.
