Charlize Theron has become a mom via adoption. The Oscar-winning actress has adopted a baby boy named Jackson. Announcement of the adoption was made Wednesday by a spokesperson. No further details were given. However, UsMagazine.com is reporting the child is African-American.

The Monster star had publicly expressed her desire to have a child without being married in a 2008 interview.
